The demand for mileage segment bikes has always been strong in Bihar, but this new bike of Honda, launched in 2025, has created a stir in the market. Low price, upgraded features and strong mileage – for these three reasons this bike is attracting the customers a lot. When the team of Local 18 talked to the showrooms and customers of the district, it came to light that Shine 100 DX is considered to be Honda’s most affordable but performance-oriented bike till date in the entry-level.
Bought on Dhanteras, customer said – number one in mileage
A customer named Harsh told that he had bought Shine 100 DX on Dhanteras, which he got at an offer price of Rs 80,000. He claims that the bike comfortably gives a mileage of 75+ km/litre. Digital meter, smooth engine and low maintenance… it is not easy to get all this in this budget. Harsh said that earlier he was thinking of buying Splendor, but after comparing the features and mileage, Shine 100 DX seemed a better option.
Finance personnel also said – now customers are changing their preferences
Bike finance employee Bobby Dayal said that the mileage segment bikes are sold the most in Bihar. Earlier, Hero Splendor had the highest finance rates, but this year Shine 100 DX seems to be strengthening its hold in the market. People are looking for a balance between the three – budget, mileage and features, and this bike fits exactly into that category.
