Rajesh Sahu, a young farmer from Kharka village in Gumla district, tried his hand at a government job after completing his PG studies. When he did not get a job, he made farming his career and today he is earning a good income.
Pea cultivation in 20 acres of land
Rajesh Sahu did not lose courage after not getting a job and has set an example with his hard work. He told that he learned farming by watching his parents and initially he started farming on a small scale, and gradually progressed with experience. And today he cultivates peas in about 20 acres of land.
Stopped preparing for job and took up farming
He further said that he has done PG in Commerce. To get a job, he prepared for various exams and also gave exams but could not get the job. I did not lose courage, the work of our ancestors, which our parents have also been doing. He grew up watching him and also learned farming. That’s why I also got involved in farming.
Pea cultivation in 20 acres of land
This year peas have been cultivated in about 20 acres of land. Looking around here has been imposed by us. Talking about earning, it depends on the market. I earn money according to the market price and since then I have been doing farming. I am earning good income. The family is going very well. Not only this, I have also provided employment to about a dozen people. If you have land, it is better to stay in your house and do farming rather than working somewhere else.
