In a major and decisive action against organized crime, the Special Task Force (STF) unit of Haryana Police, Ambala has arrested four most wanted shooters associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang. During this action, a cache of illegal weapons was also recovered from the possession of the accused.

Based on reliable input, STF Ambala team conducted a planned siege in Lay-by GT Road, Umri area and arrested all four shooters. During the search, three illegal country-made pistols and seven live cartridges were recovered from them, which clearly indicates the intention of a major crime.
Extortion and big criminal conspiracy exposed
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused were planning to carry out the firing incident for the purpose of extortion at the toll plaza located on Rewari-Narnaul Highway. Apart from this, a conspiracy was being hatched to carry out some serious criminal incident in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Criminal background and gang networks
The investigation has also revealed that some of the arrested accused had already been jailed for heinous crimes and after being released on bail, they had again become active in organized crime. All these accused were continuously preparing for violent incidents with the intention of strengthening the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Case registered, intensive interrogation on remand
A case has been registered in this regard in Police Station Sadar, Thanesar (District Kurukshetra). The accused have been taken on police remand and are being thoroughly interrogated regarding their network, associates and possible targets.

Haryana Police has clarified that strict and continuous action will continue under the policy of zero tolerance against organized crime and gangster networks in the state. This success is an important step towards further strengthening law and order in the state.
