Duet songs of Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar are heard even today, but do you know that Lata didi once refused to sing a song with Kishore Kumar.
Lata-Kishore’s evergreen songs
Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar have lent their voices to many hit songs. With hit songs like ‘Aap Ki Nazronne Ne Samjha’, ‘Tum Aa Gaye Ho Noor Aa Gaya Hai’, ‘Tere Bina Zindagi Se’, ‘Dekha Ek Khwaab’, both of them made their separate place in the hearts of people, but at one point it came. It was when Lata and Kishore Kumar did not sing songs together i.e. never recorded songs together, because Lata Mangeshkar got upset with Kishore Kumar’s habit of joking. Lyricist Sameer had narrated the incident related to it in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
Lata didi told this to Sameer
During a conversation with Kapil Sharma, Sameer had revealed, “Lata ji narrated an anecdote related to Kishore Kumar. After a time Lata ji and Asha ji stopped singing with Kishore Kumar. He said, ‘What Kishore does, comes and talks to both of us and makes us laugh while telling jokes or jokes. Due to this our voice gets tired and he goes away singing himself. We said let it sing, I will not sing with them.”
Sameer had made many revelations
In this special episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, lyricist Sameer revealed many more things. He had said that there is some story behind each of his songs. Sameer had also said in the show, ‘After a long time, Lata and Kishore had to come together to sing a song. I told them that if both of you do not sing the song then there will be a lot of trouble.
While narrating the further story, Sameer said, ‘Kishore Kumar had come first for the recording of that song. As soon as Lata ji came, Kishore Kumar caught her and started telling her stories. On this, Lata ji said that I will listen to the story later, first let me sing the song. That song was ‘Suno Kaha Hua Kya’. Sameer also narrated a story related to Anu Malik and Kumar Sanu in this episode.
