New Delhi. BJP and Congress are the largest political parties in India. The dominance of both the parties has always been in the politics of India. However, in the matter of party fund, BJP is ahead of Congress for seven consecutive years. In the report submitted to the Election Commission, it has been told that in the year 2019-20, the party has received corporate and individual donations of Rs 750 crore. This is at least five times more than what the Congress party got (Rs 139 crore). In the same period, NCP got Rs 59 crore, TMC got Rs 8 crore, CPM got Rs 19.6 crore and CPI got Rs 1.9 crore.
BJP MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s Jupiter Capital, ITC Group, real estate companies Macrotech Developers (earlier known as Lodha Developers) and BG Shirke Construction Technology, Prudent Electoral Trust and Jankalyan Electoral Trust were among the biggest donors to the BJP. Huh;
Let us inform that in the financial year 2019-20, BJP has raised Rs 217.75 crore through Prudent Electoral Fund, while 45.95 crore has been raised from Jan Kalyan Electoral Trust. 15 crore from Jupiter Capital, 76 crore from ITC Group, 21 crore from Macrotech Developers and 20 crore from Gulmarg Realtors. 35 crore fund has been given to BJP from BG Shirke Construction Technology.

Let us tell you that in October 2019, BJP had also received a huge donation of Rs 20 crore from Gulmarg Realtors, a real estate company linked to builder Sudhakar Shetty. As soon as the Enforcement Directorate came to know about this, Shetty’s residence and office were raided in January 2020.

At least 14 educational institutions were also included in the donors of BJP. These include Mewar University, Delhi (Rs 2 crore), Krishna Institute of Engineering (Rs 10 lakh), GD Goenka International School, Surat (Rs 2.5 lakh), Pathania Public School, Rohtak (Rs 2.5 lakh), Little Hearts Convent School, Bhiwani. (Rs 21,000), and Allen Career, Kota (Rs 25 lakh). There are many BJP members, MPs and MLAs among the donors of the party.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar contributed Rs 5 lakh, Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar Rs 2 crore, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu Rs 1.1 crore, Kirron Kher contributed Rs 6.8 lakh. TV Mohandas Pai, President, Manipal Global Education has donated Rs 15 lakh.

The donation received by BJP in 2019-20 is expected to be more than 750 crores. This is because the report only lists donations above Rs 20,000 made by individuals, companies, electoral trusts and associations.
