The villagers say that those who are economically weak are forced to stay in the village and people are forced to spend the night waking up in the rain.
In Tehri district, Ghansali area is the most sensitive from the point of view of disaster and many remote villages are continuously facing disaster, but they have not been displaced. On the other hand, according to the villagers, a survey of the village was conducted by the administration in 2022, but after the survey, further action is still stuck in the files.
In the matter, DM Saurabh Gaharwar says that complaints have been received from some villages, they will soon be surveyed by the Joint Expert Committee and the report will be sent to the government. After the situation like Joshimath, the people of disaster affected villages of Tehri district are also forced to live in the shadow of fear. In such a situation, there is a need for the right action by the government and administration in this direction at the right time, so that the people of such villages can feel safe.
