GRP Barabanki caught Pramod Kumar and Chand Babu red-handed after getting down from the moving train on charges of theft of mobile phones. Both the vicious thieves used to commit crimes on platforms and trains. The arrest of both is likely to expose many cases.
Lucknow. As soon as the train reaches the platform, many people stand at the gate. Since the speed is quite fast initially, we wait for it to stop. But during this time a person got down from the moving train and faltered due to high speed. The GRP jawan standing nearby ran and took care of him. While trying to catch it, such an object hit the passenger’s pocket. The young man stopped. After this he quickly grabbed his feet and said, Sir, I don’t know. But the GRP did not listen to him and sent him to jail.
Keeping the security in mind, a campaign is being run to stop theft, robbery, drug smuggling and arrest criminals in trains and railway stations. The team was investigating under the leadership of the in-charge of GRP police station Barabanki. Just then a passenger got down from the Chatli train. When the soldier went to save him, several mobile phones got hit in his pocket. The jawan became suspicious and started interrogating the passenger. He told his name as Pramod Kumar, resident of South Tola Barabanki. Many mobile phones were recovered from him. He told that he used to steal mobile phones or other valuables from the pockets of passengers waiting to get into the station or train and in the same way, he used to run away after getting into the moving train. Due to the high speed of the train, the victim was not able to catch it. Even today he was running away after stealing the mobile.

GRP caught Chand Babu who is a vicious mobile thief. He said that before committing the incident, he used to mark the crowded trains, running trains, trains standing on the platform and carry out incidents of theft and robbery on the platform. After committing the crime, he used to go to the front compartment of the same train and when the train slowed down, he used to jump out with the stolen goods.
