Sitamarhi: Professor Munna Prasad of the Civil Engineering Department of Government Polytechnic College, Veerpur Malahi, Sitamarhi has developed a unique mobile app that has completely changed the land measurement process. This technology solves decades old problems in land measurement.
With the help of the app, any person can open the map on their mobile, tab or laptop and measure the exact area, extent, direction and shape of the plot in just a few seconds. The special thing is that this app automatically converts the Khesra number written in Hindi into English, which makes the process of digital search and measurement very simple. This technology will work like ‘Amin in pocket’ for the people troubled by land disputes at the local level.
Discrepancy in land survey will be removed
For this reason, two different Amins used to give different areas of the same plot, which increased disputes and tension. Many times farmers used to keep visiting Amin and the survey team for years, but they could not get the correct measurement. In the new app, the user will simply trace the boundary of the plot on the map and get its area and length of ridge in seconds.
Land dispute will be resolved
College Principal Prof. Deepak Kumar has described this technology as a milestone in land dispute resolution. Said that people in both rural and urban areas will no longer have to wait for Amin or survey teams. Being able to do the measurement yourself from mobile will not only save time, but will also significantly reduce wrong measurements and area disputes. The Principal said that this innovation is a matter of pride not only for the college but for the entire district. This will increase transparency and trust in land matters and will also prevent unnecessary disputes.
land measurement will be easy
The most special thing about the new app is that it provides the facility to convert Hindi Khesra numbers into English, making it easier to understand the old maps used in villages on the digital platform. Apart from this, this app also provides the facility to do comparative study by opening the new and old maps together. This state-of-the-art technology of land measurement will not only simplify the measurement process but will also remove confusion and technical errors related to land among the people. In the future, this innovation can prove to be an important step towards simplifying and modernizing land administration not only in Bihar but in the entire country.
