Ingredients for making jaggery-gum laddu
Gum: 100 grams
Jaggery: 250 grams
Wheat flour: 200 grams
Almonds: 50 grams
Cashews: 50 grams
Desi Ghee: 200 grams
Poppy seeds (optional): 2 tbsp
Grated coconut: ½ cup
Cardamom Powder: 1 tsp
Recipe for making jaggery-gum laddu
Add some ghee in the pan. Add gum to it and fry it. When it swells and becomes crispy and white, turn off the gas and let it cool. Add some more ghee in the same pan and fry the flour. Fry it while stirring continuously until it turns golden brown. Finely chop all the dry fruits and roast them in a pan adding ghee.
Fry grated coconut also. Put 2-3 spoons of ghee in the pan and add pieces of jaggery in it. Let it melt on low flame. Do not overcook, just melt it so that it can be mixed into laddus and made round.
Now put all the things together in another vessel and mix well. Now add melted jaggery to it and mix well. Also add cardamom powder.
Apply ghee on your palms. Now take a little mixture and shape it into laddu. Let it remain in the open plate for a while so that it dries. Healthy and nutritious jaggery-gum laddu is ready. Eat just one of it a day.
