Kerala Mob Lynching: Ram Narayan of Chhattisgarh was beaten to death by a mob in Walayar, Palakkad, on suspicion of theft. Police have arrested Ananthan, Anu, C Prasad, C Murali, K Bibin on charges of murder. The post-mortem report has revealed that there were serious injury marks on the victim’s body. He was beaten very badly, due to which he died.
Palakkad/Walayar. A heart-wrenching incident that puts humanity to shame has come to light in Palakkad district of Kerala. Here near Walayar, a mob thrashed a migrant laborer to death on suspicion of theft. The deceased had come to Kerala only in search of a job. The police took immediate action and arrested 5 people in this case. This incident has once again refreshed the memories of Madhu lynching case of 2018, due to which the entire state is in shock.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Narayan, a resident of Chhattisgarh. The incident took place in Attappalam area. There a group of local residents accused Ram Narayan of theft. After this the mob took the law into their hands. People surrounded him and started beating him badly. The beating was so brutal that Ram Narayan fell down there.

According to eyewitnesses, Ram Narayan’s condition deteriorated after the beating. He fell on the ground and started vomiting blood. After this, the local people and the police hurriedly took him to Palakkad District Hospital. He died on Thursday during treatment there. The saddest thing is that when searched, no stolen goods were found from him. He was innocent.
Revealed in post mortem
The police has conducted the post-mortem of Ram Narayan’s body. The report has revealed that there were marks of serious injuries on his body. He was beaten very badly, due to which he died. Police had initially detained 10 people. After investigation, 5 main accused have been arrested. Their names are Anantan, Anu, C Prasad, C Murali and K Bibin.
Memories of Madhu murder case fresh
This incident has reminded the people of Kerala of that dark night of 2018. Then a tribal youth Madhu was murdered by a mob in Attappady of Palakkad. He was also accused of stealing rice. The murder of Ram Narayan has once again raised the question whether mob justice has become greater than law?
