A total of 13 stations of Delhi division are being redeveloped under Amrit Bharat Station. Among these, the two major stations of the capital are Safdarjung and Bijwasan. The work of both these stations is almost completed. As soon as it is ready, it will be dedicated to the general public.

Bijwasan will become the fifth largest railway station of Delhi. This station will become the fifth largest railway station after New Delhi, Old Delhi, Nizamuddin and Anand Vihar. The specialty of this station will be that metro or parking skyways will be built from the station, through which passengers will be able to reach the station directly. After the opening of this station with seven platforms, passengers will get relief. These passengers will be saved from rushing to New Delhi station.
Why is Safdarjung Railway Station special?
The specialty of Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station will be that there will be about 2200 rooms for offices here. This means anyone can use this place commercially. The biggest advantage of having an office in the station will be that the office can be reached directly from the platform. This will be such a station in the country which will also become a business hub along with the movement of trains.
Why should trains be shifted from New Delhi?
New Delhi station also has to be redeveloped. Its work has started. Currently work is going on in the outer part, but when work starts around the track, there will be a need to shift the trains. During that time, trains can be shifted at both these stations. According to the Railway Ministry, after the construction of Bijwasan station, trains going towards Western India including Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat can be shifted from here. At the same time, trains going towards Howrah, Jammu and Lucknow can be run from Safdarjung station.
