Patna: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the official advertisement for the Integrated 71st Combined Main (Written) Examination. According to the information given by the Commission, the last date for filling online applications for the main examination has been fixed as 24th December. Candidates will have to apply only through the official website of the Commission. The 71st main examination is likely to be conducted within the next three months.
The challenge for the candidates has increased because the result of 70th Mains is also going to be released soon and at the same time they have to prepare for 71st Mains. Because of this, many candidates are in a state of dilemma and tension as to which exam to focus more on. To clear this confusion of the candidates, Local 18 talked to experienced and expert teachers of Patna and learned from them how students should prepare in this situation.
There is pressure of two exams
Shrikant Sir of The Officers Classes located at Boring Road says that the result of 70th BPSC Main Exam can be released any time. On the other hand, the online application process for 71st BPSC has also started. This situation has brought a double challenge for the candidates. He said that you will be surprised to know that a large number of students who had appeared in the 70th BPSC Main Examination are also applying for the 71st BPSC. In such a situation, there is mental pressure on the candidates regarding the 70th Mains result. On the other hand, the burden of preparation for 71st Mains is also being felt.
Need for vigilance and strategic thinking
According to Shrikant sir, at this time candidates need more vigilance and strategic thinking in their preparation. Also, special attention should be paid to those subjects and topics which have been asked earlier also. He also said that if the candidates utilize this time properly, they will not only be able to prepare well for 71st Mains but will also be able to proceed with confidence for the interview when the 70th Mains result is declared.
Gave these tips
While giving tips to all the candidates, Shrikant sir said that in the era of social media, there is abundance of content. In such a situation, it becomes very important to select correct and reliable information. He said that if you are answer writing, then first focus on the previous year questions only. Writing the same question again and again will not only increase practice, but the quality of the answers will also improve.
Regular writing practice is very important
According to Shrikant sir, in the main examination, answers to many questions have to be written in three hours. In such a situation, time flies and candidates are not able to complete the entire paper on time. Therefore, regular writing practice is very important. This not only increases the speed, but also improves the language, structure and quality of the content of the answers.
Shrikant Sir also advised that if possible, do this exercise under the guidance of an experienced teacher or mentor. Get your answers evaluated by them and keep correcting the shortcomings continuously. In the end he said that the candidates still have enough time available. If preparation is done with strategy and regular practice, there is every possibility of making it to the topper list.
