Kim Jong Un Nuclear Factory: North Korea is rapidly turning into a nuclear factory. The new reactors, uranium enrichment plant and waste vaults at Yongbyon show that Kim Jong Un is now increasing nuclear production on a large scale. Experts say that if the current pace continues, North Korea could become the owner of 200–250 warheads by 2030. This is the biggest warning of danger to the world. (All photos Reuters)
North Korea is no longer just a country that runs missiles, but has turned into a complete nuclear factory. Kim Jong Un has given clear instructions to his scientists that nuclear capacity has to be increased manifold by 2025. The latest satellite images show that reactors, new buildings and plants are continuously expanding at Yongbyon.
According to experts, Yongbyon today looks like a full production line. Where fuel is being continuously made for new warheads. Last month, Kim showed ‘Hwasong-20’ and claimed that it can destroy any part of America. Their aggressive testing has given a clear message to the world that they are not going to back down.
Satellite images show a persistent heat signature of an old 5 MW reactor, which indicates that plutonium is being prepared. Pre-operational testing is also going on in the light water reactor built nearby. With this, North Korea will be able to prepare more advanced warhead designs in the coming years.

The biggest change is the new Uranium Enrichment Facility, where the huge building was completed within months. Heat exchangers and covered corridors indicate that high-grade uranium is being processed inside. Experts say this is the clearest evidence of Kim’s exponential nuclear expansion.
It is also surprising that when the dam was damaged by heavy floods, the engineers immediately continued the project by building a temporary dam. New waste storage vaults have been built nearby. Which shows that North Korea is now increasing nuclear production not temporarily but permanently. More waste means more nuclear material.
Different estimates suggest that North Korea has about 50 warheads ready and enough material to make 90 more. According to some studies, North Korea may have up to two tons of highly enriched uranium, which is enough for dozens of additional warheads.
Defense analysts estimate that if the current pace continues, North Korea could reach 200–250 warheads by 2030. Kim is now focusing on miniaturized warheads, boosted fission bombs and multi-warhead missiles. ICBMs like Hwasong-20, Hwasong-18 and Hwasong-17 can easily reach America.
Experts believe that technical cooperation with Russia has made Kim stronger. Laws passed in 2022 allow North Korea to use tactical nuclear weapons in the event of an initial attack. If this pace is not stopped, North Korea will become not just a country with nuclear weapons, but a country defined by those weapons.
