Khudiram Bose’s funeral pyre in Muzaffarpur will be made a tourist destination. This will give a new identity to the memories of the martyrs and will also promote regional contacts. Due to development as a tourist destination, local youth will get employment here.
Muzaffarpur. The Chita Bhoomi site of the country’s youngest revolutionary, Amar Shaheed Khudiram Bose, in Muzaffarpur district will now be developed as a tourist destination. Khudiram Bose, who shook the foundation of British rule by throwing a bomb on British Magistrate Kingsford, made the supreme sacrifice for the country at a very young age. This historical place associated with his martyrdom will now move in a new direction of identification and conservation. The district administration has intensified efforts regarding this.
Khudiram Bose’s funeral pyre will become a tourist destination
District Magistrate Subrata Sen said that a plan has been made to develop the Chita Bhoomi site of Khudiram Bose, located near the approach path of the Chandwara Ghat bridge being built on the Budhi Gandak river at the eastern end of the city, as a tourist destination. By developing this site, not only the historical importance will be preserved, but the coming generations will also be connected with the country’s freedom struggle. DM said that a proposal regarding this project has been sent to the concerned department and development work will be started as soon as it gets approval.
Martyr’s memories will get a new identity
This Chita Bhoomi site will be the third major tourist destination associated with immortal martyr Khudiram Bose. Before this, the hanging place and mausoleum located in the Muzaffarpur Central Jail complex and the Amar Shaheed Khudiram Bose memorial established in the Company Bagh (Company High School campus) have already become historical identities. Now with the development of Chita Bhoomi site, the chain of places related to the memories of martyrs will be further strengthened.
Information about the life of Khudiram Bose will be available
The administration plans to get works like memorial, information board, seating arrangement, lighting, pathways and beautification done here, so that this place can become useful for both tourism and study. Along with this, people coming here will also be able to get information about the life, struggle and sacrifice of Khudiram Bose.
Regional connectivity will also get a boost
The development of this tourist destination will also boost regional connectivity. People coming from districts like Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul and Saharsa of Mithila region will enter the city directly through this route through the East-West Corridor. This place located near Chandwara Ghat bridge will become a new attraction for travelers and tourists.
