Lucknow: A sensational case related to religious conversion, i.e. Love Jihad, has come to light in King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. The victim’s family members have alleged that their daughter’s boyfriend lured her into love and was now pressurizing her to change her religion and get married. The family members allege that a Muslim youth trapped their Hindu daughter in a love trap. She was physically exploited with the promise of marriage. Later, when the girl asked about marriage, the young man put a condition of converting her religion and getting married.
Family members said that when the girl refused to change her religion, the young man kept distance from her and started putting mental pressure on her. After this the girl went into depression and tried to commit suicide by consuming intoxicating pills. When his condition worsened, he was admitted to the Trauma Center, where after first aid, he was shifted to the Critical Care Management (CCM) ICU.
The resident doctor was already married
The family members told that their daughter was suffering from depression for a long time and even before this the girl had taken medicines and had overdosed. It is not known whether the girl did this intentionally or unknowingly. The girl has also accused her lover that the resident doctor cheated her and had a love affair with her by hiding his first marriage. The girl alleged that she had a similar relationship with someone earlier too and that she had got married after religious conversion, that is, the lover doctor was already married, yet he had a relationship with the female resident doctor.
Police investigation revealed that conversations were going on between the two for a long time. Investigation has also revealed that when the girl asked about marriage with the young man, a condition of religious conversion was imposed on the young man. According to the police, after the young man refused to marry her, the girl became mentally disturbed and went into depression, after which she was taking drugs.
Already got a girl converted
Sources said that the girl had gone home once before also, where her health condition had deteriorated. Apart from this, the girl was informed by some person that the concerned resident doctor was already married and he had earlier also converted a Hindu girl. After this information the girl became more shocked. The family members have been asked to lodge a complaint with the Women’s Commission and the Chief Minister’s Portal.
However, the police say that they have not received any formal complaint yet. Police officials have clarified that if any written complaint is received, the matter will be investigated as per rules and necessary action will be taken. According to the information, KGMU administration has issued a notice against the doctor who is pressurizing for religious conversion. The KGMU administration has asked the doctor to present his views on Monday, after which the KGMU administration will first inquire.
Both resident doctors are from different states
Whereas KGMU Dr. K. Of. Singh told that both the doctors are from outside the state, in which the female resident doctor is from Kolkata and the male resident doctor is from Uttarakhand. We got information that there was a love affair going on between the two, but when the girl pressurized him to get married, he first tried to postpone it for several days, but then put a condition of changing religion and getting married. The male resident doctor made the excuse that the girl would have to change her religion for marriage.
Dr. K. Of. Singh further told that the girl told her lover doctor to go to Kolkata and get married there without changing religion, only then the boy told the truth that he was married. Hearing these words of her lover, the female resident doctor went into shock and tried to commit suicide. When the girl’s family members investigated, they found out that the girl whom he had married earlier was also a Hindu and the doctor had got her married after converting her religion.
