There is one Ekadashi each in both the fortnights of the month i.e. Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. Every Ekadashi also has its own significance. At present the month of Pausha is going on and Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Pausha month is called Putrada Ekadashi. This Ekadashi is very important for the happiness of children. It is celebrated on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Paush month. On this day, Lord Vishnu, the creator of the universe, is worshipped. Due to its influence there are changes in a person’s life and the worshiper gets salvation. This fast is very beneficial for married women, because remembering Lord Vishnu along with Goddess Lakshmi on this day increases the chances of having a son.
When to observe the fast of Putrada Ekadashi
Astrologer tells that according to Rishikesh Panchang, Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Paush month will start this time on 30 December 2025 at 7.50 am. This date will end the next day at 5 am on 31st December. Therefore, Putrada Ekadashi will be celebrated on 30 December 2025. There will be a special combination of Bharani Nakshatra and Siddha on this day.
