Ingredients for making jackfruit dumplings
Raw jackfruit – 500 grams
Salt – 1.5 tsp
Asafoetida – ½ pinch
Gram flour – 1 cup
Rice flour – ½ cup
Green chili – 2 finely chopped
Red chili powder – 1.5 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1.5 tsp
Mango powder – ½ tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Celery – ½
Oil – to fry
How to make jackfruit pakoras
First cut the jackfruit into small pieces and take out the back part of the seed. Now add ½ cup water, ¾ teaspoon salt and 1 pinch of asafetida to the cooker, add chopped jackfruit and close the lid and let it whistle. After a while, open the lid of the cooker, take it out and discard the remaining water. Now put oil in a deep bottom pan and heat it on a low flame. Make a batter by adding gram flour, rice flour, salt as per taste and a little water in a deep vessel. Add red chili powder, green chilli, coriander powder, mango powder, garam masala and celery to this mixture and mix well and add 1 spoon oil to it. Now add boiled jackfruit pieces to this solution and mix with turmeric. Your batter is ready to make crispy pakoras.

Put oil in a pan and heat it well. After this, drip the pakoras solution little by little in this oil. Fry the pakoras on a medium flame till they turn golden brown. Now take out these pakodas on a paper plate, so that the excess oil absorbs. Likewise fry all the pakoras. Now take out these pakoras in a serving plate and serve with tomato ketchup or coriander and tomato sour chutney.
