Karnataka: The JDS (Janata Dal Secular) party has suffered a major setback before the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka. Shivanand Patil, one of the most influential faces of the party, died of a heart attack late on Friday night. Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has given this information by tweeting. He told that Sivananda, The one who was made the candidate from Sindgi constituency for the upcoming assembly elections has passed away.
According to the report of news agency ANI, JD(S) leader Shivanand Patil has passed away due to heart attack, due to which the party workers have got a big shock. According to reports, Shivanand had attended the JDS Pancharatna Rath Yatra led by former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy in Vijayapura on Friday, after which he left for his home in Sindgi in the afternoon itself. He had a sudden heart attack while talking to a close friend at home, he was immediately taken to the nearest hospital but his life could not be saved.
