New Delhi. The Ministry of Home Affairs has given orders for strict action against the policemen who were negligent in the Kanjhawala case. Sources have told that the Ministry of Home Affairs has shown strict attitude in this matter and has issued important instructions. The ministry has said that the policemen present in the three PCR vans which were deployed at the time of the incident should be suspended with immediate effect. At the same time, when the incident took place, the DCP of the area should clarify that what is the law and order arrangement and if there is no proper answer then action should be taken against them as well. Along with this, adequate lighting should be arranged in the areas around the crime scene.
Sources said that the Ministry of Home Affairs had issued instructions on this incident earlier as well, on which the Delhi Police had submitted its report. Now the Ministry of Home Affairs has given a new order on this report. Earlier, Metropolitan Magistrate Sanya Dalal had said in an order on Monday, ‘He (Joint Commissioner of Police) should submit a report explaining the reason for the delay in taking action on the PCR calls received initially at 3.24 am and 4.11 am.’ According to sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also said in its order that the Delhi Police should investigate the matter by imposing section 302 ie murder on the accused. Significantly, after the Kanjhawala case, on the orders of Home Minister Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs had sought a report from the Delhi Police. After this order of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Delhi Police had asked senior officer Shalini Singh to prepare a report in this regard. After receiving this report, the Ministry of Home Affairs has given this important order.
