Nanital News: The biggest problem in Kainchidham is jam. Due to which not only the local residents but also the devotees have to face a lot of problems. But now the state government has prepared a master plan to get rid of this traffic. Let’s see this special report.
Nainital: The traffic jam at Kainchidham has become a big problem for the people and devotees of the mountain since years. During the tourist season, traffic jams often last for 5 to 6 hours, which increases the problems of the local people as well as the travelers. Now there is hope of getting relief from this jam soon. The construction work of Kainchidham bypass has gained momentum and the government has released the necessary funds for it.
After the Forest Department’s objections have been resolved, the cutting of the road is almost complete. After this, a target has been set to complete the road drains and other works by the tourist season. Although the construction of Ratighat bridge is still pending, the government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 10 crore for this also. After the construction of the bypass and the completion of the bridge, the possibility of passengers getting relief from the jam has increased.
Local Dalip Bohra says that in the last four years the crowd in Kainchidham has increased so much that it had become difficult to manage. Road widening from Ramgarh was considered as an option, but permission for cutting of trees could not be obtained. At the same time, to reduce the traffic jam in Nainital, the road from Ramgarh to Kainchidham via Betalghat is being repaired.
Commissioner Kumaon Deepak Rawat said that expansion of parking facilities is also going on in Kainchidham. After the construction of bypass and completion of Ratighat bridge, not only the local people but also the devotees will be able to escape from the traffic jam which has been bothering them for a long time. This project will not only bring relief to the travelers but will also help in smooth running of tourism activities. People stuck in traffic jam for years can soon hope for relief from this project.
