Bhopal, An injured female leopard has been rescued from Satpura Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh and brought to Bhopal. For the time being, this female leopard will remain in Quarantine. The team of doctors will keep an eye on his health. In fact, this female leopard, unable to walk due to serious spinal injury, was rescued on Wednesday and brought to Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal. Padmapriya Balakrishnan, director of Van Vihar, told that the two-and-a-half-year-old female leopard is unable to walk due to severe injuries from the bison’s horns, but her behavior is still very aggressive.
After examining the female leopard, it was found that her condition was not fit to be released into the wild. After this, he was rescued by the Wildlife Rescue Squad (STR) from Jhiria beat of Matkuli area and sent to Van Vihar in a rescue vehicle under the leadership of wildlife doctor Dr. Guru Dutt Sharma, Dr. Prashant Deshmukh and Wildlife Conservation Trust. Female leopard was found injured on Tuesday
Deputy Director SK Sinha said that this female leopard was found in an injured state on Tuesday. After this he was rescued. STR officials decided to send the leopard to Van Vihar for treatment and monitoring as it was not found suitable for release in the forest area. The injured female leopard has been brought here in a condition unable to move. Here Dr. Atul Gupta, the wildlife doctor of Van Vihar, got his health checked.
At present, constant monitoring is being done on the activities and behavior of the female leopard. After treatment, when she becomes completely healthy, then it will be decided whether to keep her in Van Vihar or to leave her in the open forest.
