The strike of junior doctors has ended in Madhya Pradesh.
Jabalpur HC News: Hearing was held in Jabalpur High Court regarding the strike of junior doctors in Madhya Pradesh. The High Court will hear on Tuesday in the matter of contempt of court related to the strike.
Jabalpur. The Division Bench of the Chief Justice once again heard the PIL filed in the Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding the strike of junior doctors. During this, Juda clarified in his reply that he had withdrawn the strike and returned to work. Juda said that the doctors have called off the strike in the public interest, so the notices given against these junior doctors in the medical colleges should be withdrawn.
It was told on behalf of Juda in the court that keeping in mind the respect of the judiciary and public interest, Juda has withdrawn the strike. Juda requested the court that the Dean of Medical Colleges has given notices to cancel the registration of the doctors associated with Juda, all these notices should be withdrawn. Taking on record the reply of the junior doctors including the government, the High Court has fixed the next hearing of the case on June 9.
Meanwhile, the court today refused to hear another petition filed for contempt of the High Court. The High Court said that the matter will be heard on Tuesday. Significantly, while hearing on June 3, the High Court had declared the strike of junior doctors illegal. Along with this, junior doctors were ordered to return to work within 24 hours. But since June 1, the junior doctors were on strike continuously and today they have called off their strike. However, under the directions, the junior doctors are sitting in contempt of the High Court, in such a situation whether the High Court takes a soft stand towards them, it will be clear in tomorrow’s hearing.
