Benefits of Jowar Roti: Dr. R. According to P. Parouha, including jowar roti in the diet instead of wheat helps in weight control, improves digestion and removes laziness. Jowar is rich in high protein and fiber, which fills the stomach quickly and prevents overeating.
In the Vindhya region of Madhya Pradesh, in ancient times, people used to eat jowar (Jonhari) bread and were very strong. But with changing times, wheat took place in his plate and gradually problems related to fitness, digestion and energy started increasing. Now experts are again advising to return to the same indigenous grain jowar.
Speaking to Local 18, senior Ayurveda expert Dr. R. Giving information, P. Parouha said that heavy food at night harms the body and increases belly fat. But if jowar roti is included in place of wheat, then it provides excellent benefits at every level from digestion to immunity.
According to Dr. Parouha, jowar is a powerhouse of fitness, energy and muscle building. It has high protein content, which makes it a great option for gym goers. Due to the high fiber content, one or two rotis fill the stomach and one does not feel hungry for a long time. This speeds up weight loss and eliminates the habit of overeating.
Dr. Parouha told that if you are not able to lose weight even by eating ragi and oats, then now include jowar in your diet. It not only strengthens digestion but also increases body energy and removes lethargy.
The most important thing is that jowar is gluten-free. For those who are allergic to wheat or have stomach problems, it is no less than a medicine. Its low glycemic index keeps blood sugar under control and is also beneficial for people with diabetes. Dr. Parouha advises that if jowar is included at the right time, belly fat, lethargy, constipation and obesity can gradually disappear.
