Dehradun, Due to the Joshimath crisis in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, people’s life has become chaotic. So on the other hand, the children of the local residents are also worried about their studies. Especially the students appearing for the board exams are worried because the exams are starting from the month of March. In such a situation, the education department has taken an important decision that the candidates of Joshimath can choose their own examination center, where they find it favorable.
State Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, after taking stock of Joshimath, gave necessary instructions in a meeting with the departmental officers at Directorate General of Education, Dehradun Noonarkheda. During this, he said that the students of the affected areas of Joshimath living in the relief camps will be given the freedom to choose the examination center in the board examination so that they do not face difficulties. For this, instructions have been given by the Education Minister to the Regional Officer of CBSE Board and Secretary of Uttarakhand Board to allot Board Examination Center to the affected students as per their convenience.

Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat informed that a painting competition will be organized in schools of Uttarakhand from January 20 to January 23, which will be based on the theme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s book ‘Exam Warrior’. Certificates will be given to the students who win in this competition. He also informed that the presence of MP, District Panchayat President, block head, local MLA and local people’s representatives will be necessary in both the programmes.
Tell that, due to landslides in Joshimath city area, 849 buildings have been identified so far, in which cracks have come. In view of security, 800 members of 237 families have been shifted to temporary relief camps. Relief amount of more than three crore rupees has been distributed so far to the affected families for damaged buildings, advance amount of special rehabilitation package, transportation of goods and one-time special grant and purchase of household items for immediate needs.
