At that time, many big leaders of the State Congress had joined him, and some had supported Azad. But in less than 6 months, the enthusiasm of Azad’s party seems to have cooled down, the reason being the rebellion in his new party. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s party has started cracking. Many big leaders of Jammu and Kashmir, who resigned from the Congress in his support, have returned home, or are about to do so. Chaudhary Mohammad Akram had already distanced himself from DAP.
