A new mystery is about to be revealed in this show.
It would not be completely wrong to say that horror and mystery are such things, which have been entertaining us since a long time. Many times it is a matter of timing that a mysterious situation in everyday life and anecdote turns into a fun event.
Recalling some such mysterious incidents related to his life, the artists of ‘Jijaji Chhat Par Koi Hai’ shared some very scary experiences. Hiba Nawab describes his fear at 3 o’clock, saying, “Whenever there is something ghostly or mysterious things happen, I like to stay away from it.” Talking about ghosts and scary things, I feel very scared and it seems that I will faint with fear. This is the reason why I am playing a double role in ‘Jijaji Chhat Par Koi Hai’, one of which is Saya’s character. I chose this role only to overcome my fear. I remember an incident when I was alone at home and I did not look at the clock and continued watching a show till 3 am. I am afraid to turn off the light and I feel like there is someone at the door. I knew that my fear is working to increase my difficulties, but I never dared to turn off the light of the room and sleep all night.
Recalling his teenage days, Anoop Upadhyamay says, ‘It is a matter of those days when I used to study in 12th standard. Me and my three friends together made a plan to stay awake all night at a friend’s house. He lived in a big mansion, which had several verandahs and a temple in the middle. It was a cold night and we all went to the room by the verandah to read, we did not know that there was no lock in it. Since none of us wanted to get out of bed and blankets. We were just thinking about studying. Our friend’s father had already warned us that if you hear any sound in the middle of the night, then let it go unheard. Just reading or sleeping. We had just 15-20 minutes studying in the lantern, I started to hear the sounds of ghungroos from the stairs of the mansion. We felt that voice coming closer to our room and at that time we were quite scared. After some time, we realized that the voices have stopped coming from outside our door. After a while, we heard that sound going back up the stairs and then disappeared. I do not really know whether he was a ghost or a devotee who came to worship in the temple, but that incident of my life shook me. I still remember him as a fun night, but that mystery of the ghungroos is still unresolved.
Subhashish Jha recalls his college days, saying, ‘I am a computer engineer. During college days there was a rumor related to our hostel that some mysterious thing revolves around the hall. It was an incident in my life where I was afraid to get water from my room to the water cooler for myself. Because of those rumors, my two weeks were spent in the midst of scary dreams. I also tried the tricks which the people of my house had told me. Like sleeping with Hanuman Chalisa under your pillow and if I ask the truth, I saw all the things done, but those dreams did not leave me. Eventually, after some time those dreams stopped happening on their own, but as soon as the holidays started, most of the students went to their homes and only 5-6 people stayed in the hostel. It was raining that night and my friends asked me to stay with him outside the campus but I never took his words seriously. I wanted to stay in the hostel because I used to feel like there. After all the people left, the first night I went to get water from a common water cooler, a short distance from my room. The environment around me was quite scary, it was raining heavily outside and I could hear echoes. I started remembering all those rumors and I was afraid to go there. To be honest, I wanted someone else to bring water for me, but I was alone and that experience was intimidating. I was very scared. The very next day of that incident, I went to my friend’s flat and stayed with him for a few days. ‘
