Jamshedpur Private School Admission: The Education Department has issued instructions for admission in private schools of Jamshedpur. Under this, private schools will invite applications between January 5 and 16 and will release the list of selected children on the basis of lottery on January 17.
Jamshedpur. The Education Department has issued necessary guidelines regarding the enrollment process in private schools for the new academic session in Jamshedpur. This time, a lottery system has been implemented to keep the admission completely clean, so that every child can get equal opportunity. All private schools in the district have been asked to take applications from parents from January 5 to January 16, 2026. After the completion of the application process, the list of children selected on the basis of lottery will be released on January 17.
7 thousand seats, 70 thousand applications
This year there is a lot of enthusiasm regarding admission. The situation is that more than 70 thousand application forms have been filled for about 7 thousand seats. This means that about 10 children have become contenders for each seat. The Education Department says that such a large number of forms coming in makes it clear that parents want to provide better education to their children and consider private schools as their first choice.

The Education Department has clearly told all the schools to keep aside 25% of the seats available under RTE. These seats are kept for children from economically weaker sections. Lottery will be conducted for the remaining 75% seats for general category children. The lottery process will be done in the school campus in the presence of parents, so that there is no doubt. Apart from this, video recording of the entire process has also been made mandatory.
Guidelines have also been given regarding uniform, books and vehicle fees. Schools have been asked not to put any excessive burden on parents. There will be no need to buy uniforms and books in school. If parents want, they can also buy it from the market. While deciding the vehicle fee, distance and route will have to be kept in mind and action will be taken if arbitrary fee is charged.
It has also been made necessary for the parents to submit the child’s birth certificate, Aadhar card and address proof correctly while filling the application form. The application may be canceled if wrong information is given.
Education system will become reliable
This time the admission process will be cleaner, easier and more controlled than before. Lottery system will reduce the competition among parents for seats and every child will get equal opportunity to study in a private school. The education department claims that this will make the education system in the district more strong and reliable.
