Gaurav Singh/Bhojpur: From the beginning of the year 2026, the people of Arrah are going to get a wonderful gift from the Central Government. With the beginning of the new year, there is going to be a big gift for the railway passengers of Arrah and surrounding areas. In the first week of January, the residents of Arava are going to get a completely new, modern and comfortable experience of traveling by train. Indian Railways is preparing to run sleeper Vande Bharat Express on Patna Ara-Delhi route. Along with this, the proposal to run Vande Bharat train between Patna and Mumbai is also in the final stage. The special thing is that the official stoppage of both Vande Bharat trains is proposed at Arrah Junction. This will provide great relief to the passengers of Bhojpur district and surrounding areas in long distance travel. Now direct, fast and modern train service will be available from Arrah for metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
At present, a Vande Bharat Express is operating on this route between Patna and Gomtinagar, whose halt has been given at Arrah Junction. The booking of passengers in this train from Arrah station is also said to be satisfactory, which has indicated to the Railways that the demand for premium trains like Vande Bharat is continuously increasing in this region. The upcoming sleeper Vande Bharat train has been completely modernized in terms of safety and technology. A state-of-the-art safety system like ‘Kavach’ has been installed in this train, which automatically stops the train in case of any possible accident. CCTV cameras have been installed in all coaches to ensure safety and monitoring of passengers.
Passengers will continue to get information about the train’s location, next station, stoppage and other important updates through audio and video system during the journey. The gangway connecting the two coaches of the train will be completely sealed, so that dust and dirt from outside will not come inside. Apart from this, automatic plug doors have been installed, which automatically close about 10 seconds before the train starts. This will prevent incidents like theft, snatching and insecurity to a great extent.
The interiors of the Sleeper Vande Bharat have been designed keeping luxury and comfort in mind. Along with comfortable berths, modern lighting and better air conditioning, passengers will also be provided with high speed internet facility, so that long journeys can become more convenient.
Railways is also preparing to run Vande Bharat train between Patna and Mumbai from January 1. This train will be run in a timely manner after Rajdhani Express and is being included in the new timetable. The stoppage of this train is also proposed at Arrah Junction, which will directly benefit the passengers of the south-western part of Bihar. Permission was sought from the Railway Ministry to operate these two trains under Danapur Railway Division. A report in this regard has been sent from the General Manager level. However, the information about which routes will be finally determined will become clear only after the issuance of the authorized letter from the Railway Ministry.
Giving information on this entire matter, Chief Information Public Relations Officer of Hajipur Railway Zone, Saraswati Chandra said that necessary procedures regarding the proposal are being completed and the official announcement of operation of trains will be made as soon as the approval is received from the Ministry. Overall, with the start of operation of Vande Bharat trains from Arrah to Delhi and Mumbai in the new year, a new chapter of fast, safe and modern rail travel is going to start for the passengers of the region.
