Khargone News: Ayurveda expert (MD) Dr. Santosh Maurya, while talking to Local 18, said that there is no description of how many days a person should take a bath in the winter season or even on other days, but in Ayurveda Shastra, bathing is considered very important for the purification of body and mind.
Khargon. To keep the body clean, it is generally advised to take bath every day, but many people shy away from taking bath in cold weather. Some take bath except for one day, while others hardly touch water in a week. Some people do not bathe for many days. In such a situation, the question arises whether it is necessary to take bath daily in winter or not. It will be okay even if you don’t bathe for many days. You will also be surprised to know what Ayurveda and Allopathic doctors say on this.
Why does skin become dry?
He said that taking bath every day or except for a few days completely depends on the need and convenience of the person. However, after bathing in cold, the skin of many people becomes dry. The reason for this is the cold air outside, which directly affects the skin after bathing. Sweat is also not able to come out as much, due to which skin dryness increases.
Massage is necessary before bathing
Dr. Maurya advises that bathing with lukewarm water is beneficial in this season. If some lemon is mixed in water, the dryness of the skin reduces significantly and the body remains fresh throughout the day. Before bathing, a light massage should be done with mustard oil. This keeps the skin soft and the need for body lotion is also reduced.
Negligence in bathing will cost you dearly
Allopathic doctor Dr. Swapnil Srivastava (MBBS) told that it is very important to take bath daily even in cold. If you are careless in bathing, the microscopic bacteria present in the environment stick to the body and go inside. This increases the risk of skin problems, allergies and stomach related diseases, hence taking regular bath even in cold is considered better for health. If your body remains fresh even without bathing for a few days, then you can avoid bathing as per your wish.
