- Paper Test: Put a few drops of honey on some dry paper. Pure honey will not wet the paper too much and will just be slightly sticky. If the paper gets wet immediately, then understand that water or syrup has been mixed in it.
- Finger Test: Place a drop of honey on your thumb. If the honey is real then it will remain thick and stay in place. If it spreads, gets absorbed quickly or looks like water, the honey may be adulterated.
