Indigo Flight Cancellation Impact: Due to the operational crisis of Indigo airline, many flights are being canceled, due to which both passengers and tourists are troubled. Due to ticket cancellation and expensive flight booking of other airlines, passengers are facing financial and time problems. Apart from this, train and taxi services have also been affected, due to which there is a threat of loss to the tourism and hotel business of Uttarakhand.
Dehradun: Many Indigo flights are being canceled due to which air travelers across the country are facing problems. Some Indigo flights are being canceled in Dehradun also. In such a situation, the tourists and common travelers coming here are quite worried. After the cancellation of Indigo tickets, people are booking flights of other airlines, but they have to buy expensive tickets. The work of taxi drivers at Dehradun airport has also been affected as passengers are not coming, due to which their employment has slowed down. At the same time, due to repairs and short termination in train services, passengers are facing problems like waiting and double fares. This situation is making travel even more difficult for the general public in winter.
Piloumi, who is originally from Kolkata, had come to Rishikesh in Dehradun for a course. His sister was also supposed to come, but due to cancellation of Indigo flight and problems in ticket cancellation, she could not come. Piloumi said that after reaching the airport, he received a mail that the flight was cancelled, but there was no information about when the refund would be made. Due to communication gap, he did not get any clear information even from Indigo employees. The return ticket was for December 10, but due to lack of confidence, he booked an expensive Air India flight. He told that both his time and money were wasted in this process.

Pilomi said that due to the cancellation of Indigo flights, ticket prices of other airlines have increased. Last Wednesday, Air India tickets from Dehradun to Delhi and Kolkata were shown for Rs 71 thousand, but on Thursday they were shown tickets for Rs 90 thousand. He said that at this price one can even go to London (UK). This has increased the financial pressure on passengers and domestic travel has become expensive and difficult.
Experts believe that a large number of tourists, including industrialists, players and actors, come to Uttarakhand for Christmas and New Year celebrations. But due to IndiGo crisis, it has become difficult to reach Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. This may reduce the number of tourists in places like Mussoorie, Chakrata and Tehri and affect hotel business and tourism. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Ministry has ordered a 5 percent reduction in airline flights, so that the crisis can be controlled.
