New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day tour of South Africa ended on Sunday, but during this period, many big decisions have come out from meetings and meetings on the G-20 platform, ranging from terrorism. Including the G-20 and IBSA conferences, PM Modi held 24 meetings and meetings with leaders of powerful countries and organizations, from which 6 big things came to light.
First, a big decision on terrorism
Although G20 is an informal forum of economic cooperation, but in the manifesto of the G20 conference held in South Africa, terrorism and all its forms were condemned and FATF was used against terrorism. Second, During the G20 conference, PM Modi participated in a total of 24 important meetings and meetings. PM Modi participated in the IBSA conference organized after 14 years. Apart from this, PM Modi participated in a trilateral meeting with Canadian PM Mark Carney and Australian PM Anthony Albanese. In this trilateral meeting, all three countries announced technology and innovation partnership.

PM Modi held talks with the leaders of South Africa, Australia, Canada, UK, Brazil, South Korea, France, Malaysia, Angola, Singapore, Vietnam, Germany, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Jamaica, Netherlands, Italy and Japan. Apart from this, the PM also met with the heads of 3 international organizations.
fourth, In a trilateral meeting with Canadian PM Mark Carney and Australian PM Anthony Albanese, India, Australia and Canada agreed to launch a new trilateral technology and innovation partnership – Australia-Canada-India Technology and Innovation Partnership. The three sides agreed to further strengthen their ambitions in cooperation on critical and emerging technologies, to complement existing bilateral initiatives. The initiative will harness the natural strengths of the three countries and place particular emphasis on green energy innovation and building resilient supply chains, including critical minerals. The partnership will also examine the potential for the development and widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the lives of citizens. The three countries agreed that officials will meet in the first quarter of 2026 to take this initiative forward.
fifth, The impact of the Global South and other issues was clearly visible during the Delhi conference in the Johannesburg G20 conference in South Africa. India and PM Modi had given greater strength to the Global South on the global stage, hence organizing the G20 conference for the first time in Africa had special significance. Especially when PM Modi put forward many proposals and gave messages to the world in the three sessions of the conference.
sixth, This was PM Modi’s first meeting with Japan’s PM Sanae Takaichi. PM Takaichi expressed strong support for the AI Summit to be held in India in February 2026. Along with this, he also emphasized on shared values and commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
