India’s Ambassador to America Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that there are more than two lakh students from India studying in the US and most of them are from STEM sector, so there are exciting possibilities of cooperation in the field of higher education. .
He said that there are possibilities of exchange of students, online education and cooperation between universities of both countries. The Indian Ambassador said, “We hope to focus mainly on India, UNC will lead in this area.” Senior Indian diplomats have participated in Indo-US partnership dialogue sessions during the past few months at Arizona State University, Howard University, University of South Florida, North Carolina University.

Last week, the ambassador spoke to Dr. Michael Crowe, president of the University of Arizona. Sandhu shared his views on cooperation between Indian and foreign higher education institutions to offer joint degrees and dual degrees etc. under the National Education Policy 2020.
