India Russia Energy Deal: America has imposed 50 percent tariff on India. From global forums, America and western countries keep reiterating the restrictions on energy deals between India and Russia. However, India has made it clear on many occasions that India will always take any step keeping in mind the welfare of its people. Now a statement by the Russian Ambassador is indicating that the energy deal between India and Russia may become stronger in the future.
Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said that Russia is fully ready to supply good prices and high quality crude oil to India. He also said that India and Russia together are trying to find a way out between these restrictions. So that energy trade can continue without interruption.

Speaking to Economic Times, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov said that Russia has become a major supplier of crude oil to India. Today, more than one-third of the oil that India buys from abroad comes from Russia. Giving further information, the Ambassador said that Russia has always shown that it is a reliable partner and it provides the best quality oil to India at good prices. He also informed that many times attempts have been made to weaken the relations between the two countries. But every time together we have searched for new paths.
According to Alipov, continuous work is being done to further strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries. Now both the countries are doing most of the transactions in mutual trade in their local or alternative currencies, which has become more than 90 percent of the total trade. Along with this, both the countries are also working on creating new transport and logistics routes. Due to which the problems of trade and supply will be reduced.
Partnership continues in defense sector
Alipov said that new partnerships are also being formed between the two countries on defense matters. Both countries are working together on new technology. In which work is going on on drones, anti-drone systems, advanced radar, missiles and other defense equipment.
