Income tax investigation continues at Vaari Energies locations, company reports 130 percent net profit growth in Q2 FY26 and commission of new 3 GW facility in Gujarat. The order book stands at 24 GW.
New Delhi. Income tax officials reached the premises of Vaari Energies, a company providing solar energy solutions, on Tuesday. The company has described it as just a ‘visit’ but this matter could be bigger. The company said that officials have today conducted investigations at some of its offices and facilities in India. This is a regular investigation process which has been done under the Income Tax Act 1961. In the stock exchange filing given by the company, it was clearly stated that the investigation process is still going on and Wari is fully cooperating with the authorities. At present it is not clear why the investigation was started, but the company says that it is providing all the necessary documents and information.
Now talking about the latest financial results of the company, Vaari Energies has shown a tremendous jump in the second quarter ending in September 2025. The company’s net profit increased by 130 percent to Rs 871 crore, whereas it was Rs 375.66 crore in the same quarter last year.
Company’s quarterly results
The company’s PAT margin in the quarter was 14.10 percent. Similarly, total income also increased by 69.96 percent to Rs 6226.54 crore, whereas a year ago the same figure was Rs 3663.47 crore. The company’s EBITDA increased by 155.29 percent to Rs 1567.30 crore and margin improved to 25.17 percent. This is believed to boost performance in times of anxiety. Talking about production, during Q2 FY26 the company produced 2.64 GW. The total income in the first six months was Rs 10823.72 crore, which is a growth of 51.17 percent. During this period, EBITDA also increased by 118.19 percent to Rs 2735.97 crore.
Share and Order Book
The company said that its order book is around 24 GW, the value of which is around Rs 47000 crore. Apart from this, the board had also approved an interim dividend of Rs 2 per share on 16 October 2025. During the quarter the company also commissioned an additional 3 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Chikli, Gujarat. Talking about the stock, today the shares of Vari Energies closed at Rs 3,288.90 on NSE, which is a decline of 0.39 percent or Rs 12.80 from the previous close.
