Katihar: A unique example of humanity and service is being seen in Katihar city of Bihar. Shaheed Abdul Hameed Trust is continuously arranging free food for the needy near Ganja Gali Station Road. This initiative of the organization has become a topic of discussion in the entire district today, because hundreds of people come here every day to eat delicious food and there are long queues to get the food.
The youth associated with the trust say that this campaign has been started with the spirit of service being paramount. Katihar Deputy Mayor Manzoor Khan said that the youth of Shaheed Abdul Hameed Trust are doing true service to humanity. He said that every person who comes here is given food with full respect and honor. For those who like non-vegetarian food, arrangements of chicken-rice, sweets, papad and salad are made, while for vegetarians, delicious vegetarian food is also made available.
Also, Manzoor Khan said that this is the first effort of its kind in Katihar, in which quality food is being provided to a large number of people every day. The organization is not only providing food, but is also playing an important role in social concerns. The Deputy Mayor said that this organization has decided to provide all possible support to those families whose financial condition is weak and who face difficulties in their daughter’s marriage.
Local resident Mohd. Murtaza praised the youth of the organization and said that this work is a source of inspiration in today’s society. Young social worker Abdul Rashid said that this initiative is sending a positive message to the society about what is the real form of service. Mo arrived for meal. Nizamuddin says that he has eaten here many times and every time he gets delicious food, that too absolutely free.
Akash Kumar also comes here regularly to eat food and says that such tasty and well-arranged food is not available anywhere else without any charges. Overall, this initiative of Shaheed Abdul Hameed Trust on Ganja Gali Station Road is no less than a boon for the helpless and needy people. This work of the organization has become a wonderful example of social unity, humanity and service which is being appreciated in the entire district.
