According to the commission, a group of boys from North East girls passing through Hauz Khas area of Delhi late night asked the rate for sexual activities. Due to which the agitated girls made videos of those boys and posted them on social media and informed about the incident that happened to them.
Came across a shameful video on social media wherein some women from the North East have alleged that a group of men have racially and sexually harassed them and asked, “Tumhara rate kya hai”. This is a very very serious matter, issuing Notice to Delhi Police to register FIR. pic.twitter.com/EpqCAxJDVh

Taking suo motu cognizance of the videos and media reports that went viral on social media, Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal said that this is a very serious matter and it should be dealt with strictly. He said that no FIR has also been registered in this matter. Therefore, the Women’s Commission has sent a notice to South Delhi DCP and asked to register an FIR.
In the notice, copy of the FIR in this case from the DCP till July 25, 2021, the names and information of the accused identified in this case, information about the steps taken to nab them and action taken report if they could not be arrested. Asked to submit.
Swati said, when I saw the video of this incident with North Eastern girls, I felt very bad and also got angry. How do miscreants have so much courage in Delhi to go to a woman and talk such a bad thing. If strict measures are not taken against molestation, then the spirits of those who do these things will never diminish. We have taken suo motu cognizance in this matter and have sent a notice to Delhi Police asking them to register an FIR in the matter. The matter should be investigated at the earliest and the guilty should be punished.
