Hospice. In Himachal Pradesh, the Congress Party had promised to give Rs 1500-1500 to the women of the state in the assembly elections. Recently, during the campaign for the assembly elections in Bihar, CM Sukhu had said that Rs 1500-1500 are being given to 2.87 lakh women in the state. However, now the CM’s own claim in the Assembly has turned out to be false.
In fact, in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, BJP MLA from Dharamshala Sudhir Sharma had asked the question as to how many women in the state have been given Rs 1500 under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Brahmin Sukh Samman Nidhi Scheme. On this the government replied in the House that there are a total of 35,687 beneficiaries in the state. Also said that as per the budget, Rs 1500 is being given to women in a phased manner.
According to the information given by the government, Rs 1500-1500 have been given to 594 women in Nirmand of Kullu. Similarly, Kangra 2233, Bilaspur 3254, Shimla 2569, Hamirpur 723, Mandi 3187, Shimla’s Dodra Quarter 509, Chamba 1353, Sirmaur 128, Kupvi 2171, Pangi 1926, Kullu 1451, Kinnaur 309, Lahaul Spiti. Rs 1500 has been paid to 1171 women, 2238 in Banjar of Kullu, 591 in Solan and 7280 women in Una.

It is noteworthy that Congress Party had promised to give Rs 1500 in 10 guarantees. However, so far in three years only more than 35 thousand women have benefited from the scheme. More than eight lakh women had earlier applied for it. But now the plans are almost on hold.
