Patna. The Grand Alliance (MGB) had to face a crushing defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025. RJD, Congress and other allies were brought to the floor by the public. While a review is going on in the opposition camp after the results, discord has flared up among the constituent parties of the alliance. In the review meeting of Congress’s defeat in Delhi, allegations of holding RJD responsible sparked controversy. Now RJD state president Mangani Lal Mandal has given a stern rebuke to Congress, due to which questions are being raised whether this alliance has reached the verge of collapse?
Mangani Lal’s sharp taunt, ‘All because of RJD’
After the defeat of Grand Alliance in Patna Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the dispute between RJD and Congress intensifies, discussion continues on the possibility of alliance breaking. Tejashwi Yadav’s churning continues, while Congress has hit back at Manganilal Mandal’s statement.
Congress’s strong counterattack, ‘If there was no strength then why should we be together?’
Congress immediately retaliated on Mangni Lal Mandal’s statement. State Congress spokesperson Asitnath Tiwari said, if Congress has no strength then why is RJD with the alliance? Rejecting RJD’s claims, Tiwari said that everyone’s responsibility for the defeat lies with everyone and not just one party. At the same time, another Congress spokesperson Gyan Ranjan targeted Mandal and said, if Mandal ji has something to say, then tell it to Tejashwi Yadav, Chairman of the Ordination Committee of the Grand Alliance. What does it mean to make a statement in the media? It is clear that anger is clearly visible in the Congress camp and leaders are calling it ‘disrespectful’.
BJP’s opportunity – ‘We used to fight before the elections, we are fighting even now’
Meanwhile, the ruling BJP has turned the discord of the Grand Alliance into a weapon. BJP’s national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said sarcastically, both the parties were fighting among themselves even before the elections and are fighting among themselves after the elections also. BJP is presenting it as the weakness of the opposition, while political experts believe that this dispute can prove beneficial for NDA. Now the question is being raised in the politics of Bihar whether this is a small squabble or a sign of breaking of the alliance?
Fear of breakdown – discussion of Tejashwi Yaad meeting
Suspense remains on the future of the Grand Alliance. RJD has called a meeting of MLAs at Tejashwi Yadav’s residence on Saturday, in which the opposition strategy for the legislature session is being discussed. But, experts say that internal disputes of the alliance may also come up prominently in this meeting. Now the question is whether Mangani Lal Mandal’s statement that no one can keep anyone tied is the beginning of the end of the Grand Alliance? The possibility of a major upheaval in the politics of Bihar in the coming days cannot be ruled out.
