Ayodhya: 12 months of the year are considered very important in Hindu religion. In the same way, the month of Margashirsha is very sacred. This month is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shri Krishna. From the religious point of view, the month of Margashirsha is dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu and Lord Shri Krishna. This month, worship, bhajan, kirtan and charity have special significance. Following some rules this month also brings special blessings of Shri Hari Vishnu.
Astrologer Pandit Kalki Ram of Ayodhya tells that Lord Shri Krishna should be worshiped especially in the month of Margashirsha. Some things should be taken special care of in this month. Some things should be avoided. It is said that if you follow it regularly, all the wishes of life are fulfilled.
In the month of Margashirsha, one should worship Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Shri Hari Vishnu as per the rituals and take bath in holy rivers. By doing this one gets freedom from all sins. Tulsi plant should be worshiped regularly. One should light a lamp, by doing this one gets the special blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.

Geeta should be recited this entire month. Other things, clothes and jaggery, blanket or sesame should be donated to the poor needy people. By doing this all kinds of troubles go away. Conch should be blown especially in this month. By doing this, positive energy circulates in the house.
Even by mistake, one should not consume meat and alcohol in the month of Margashirsha, one should eat only pure and fresh food and one should not be cruel to anyone in this holy month.
