Patna. As soon as Bihar’s new Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary took charge, he has made the broad outline regarding law and order clear. Samrat Chaudhary held a joint press conference with the DGP soon after taking charge of the Home Department and said that the policy of zero tolerance will be implemented on crime, mafia networks and crimes against women in the state. He said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has established good governance in Bihar and the new government will take it forward with more strictness. At the same time, Samrat Chaudhary has also given a strict message against those who post indecent posts on social media. At the same time, Samrat Choudhary said that those who become Romeos outside schools and colleges on the streets are also not doing well.
Anti-Romeo squad and police deployment outside schools and colleges
Samrat Chaudhary described the safety of women as the priority of the government. He said that action will be taken after identifying the miscreants roaming on the streets so that daughters can go to school and college without fear. For this, active deployment of police will be ensured outside schools and colleges. He said, “Teaching of sisters will not be tolerated in Bihar. Anti-Romeo Squad and Pink Police will take immediate action.”
Strict action against liquor, sand and land mafia: Samrat Chaudhary
Samrat Chaudhary’s stance appeared very strict in the press conference. He said that no mafia is going to survive in Bihar. Action will be taken one by one against liquor, sand and land mafia and their roots will be uprooted. He clarified that wherever criminals are active, the police are being instructed to take strict action without any pressure. He said that those who follow the law will not face any problem, but there is no place for criminals in Bihar.
Strict monitoring of jails – ban on sending mobile phones and food from outside
The Home Minister also clarified the decision to end the irregularities prevalent in jails. He said that the jails will be under complete surveillance and it will be investigated how mobile phones and food from outside reach inside. If any officer or employee is found to be involved in this, strict action will be taken against him. A big review meeting is also proposed for the Jail Reforms Department in the coming days.
Police also keeping an eye on indecency and threats on social media
During the press conference, Samrat Chaudhary made it clear that abusing, threatening, spreading rumors or trying to tarnish someone’s image on social media will also come under the ambit of legal action. He said that on receiving such complaint, the police will take immediate action and the accused will not be spared.
‘400 mafia identified, process of property confiscation started’
The government is implementing a strategy to eliminate organized crime by breaking the economic back of criminals. Samrat Chaudhary said that so far 400 notorious mafias have been identified in the state and preparations are being made to confiscate their properties. He said that permission has been received from the court to confiscate the property of two mafias and action is going to start on a large scale very soon. According to the Home Minister, a plan to completely eliminate organized crime in the state will be implemented in the coming months.
This strict strategy of the Home Minister in the initial days of the new government clearly indicates that in the coming times, big decisions will be seen in Bihar regarding law and order, safety of women and cracking down on criminals.
