5 Worst Cooking Oils in India: You might be using many types of oils for cooking like mustard oil, olive oil, coconut oil etc. All are used in the kitchen for cooking food. Some oils are also very beneficial in keeping skin and hair healthy. People generally use mustard and refined oil more in cooking oil. But, any oil should be used only after examining its quality and health benefits. There are some oils which have been considered unhealthy for health. According to Master Chef Pankaj Bhadauria, if you use these 5 oils for cooking, then stop immediately, know their names and disadvantages.
1. Palm oil – Do you know that palm oil is most commonly used in street food? It contains a lot of saturated fat, which can increase the level of bad cholesterol i.e. LDL. This can increase the risk of heart disease. Blood circulation can be disrupted due to plaque accumulation in the arteries, in which case the heart has to work harder to function.
2. Blended vegetable oil – To make vegetable oil, many other oils like canola oil, corn oil, palm oil are often mixed. These are highly processed and refined. These contain very high amounts of Omega 6 fatty acids. These can promote inflammation if you eat in excess. This can worsen heart health.
3. Corn oil- If you consume this oil, then stop using it today itself. Corn oil is full of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which you should avoid consuming in excess.

4. Sunflower oil- Many people use sunflower oil and people think that it is a healthy oil for health, but it is also unhealthy for health. It is filled with Omega 6 fatty acids. If you consume it daily, it can cause inflammation as well as other health related problems.
5. Rice bran oil – If you use rice bran oil for cooking in the kitchen, then stop doing so. It also contains Omega 6 fatty acids in abundance. This is a highly refined and processed oil. A chemical called Hexane is used to process it. It can be quite dangerous when you consume it in excessive amounts.
