Indian Railway News- Railways has decided to run two special trains in view of the huge crowd of passengers going to Delhi amid Indigo Crisis. This exercise is being done keeping in mind the demand of passengers and additional crowd. These trains are being run from Darbhanga and Gorakhpur to Anand Vihar Terminus.
Gorakhpur. In view of the huge rush of passengers going to Delhi amid the Indigo crisis, North Eastern Railway has decided to run two special trains. Keeping in mind the demand of passengers and additional crowd, trains are being run from Darbhanga and Gorakhpur to Anand Vihar Terminus. Railways has released the schedule of both trains. Passengers can book for convenient travel.
Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, Pankaj Kumar Singh said that the first special train 05563/05564 Darbhanga-Anand Vihar Terminus-Darbhanga will run for one trip. Train number 05563 will depart from Darbhanga at 18:15 pm on 8th December and reach Anand Vihar Terminus at 21:15 pm the next day. This train will stop at major stations like Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Chhapra, Ballia, Ghazipur City, Varanasi, Prayagraj Junction and Govindpuri. In return, train number 05564 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminus at 00:05 pm on 10th December and will reach Darbhanga at 23:00 pm on the same day. There will be a total of 21 coaches in this train, in which there will be AC and non-AC trains.
The second special train 05591/05592 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminus-Gorakhpur will run for two trips. Train No. 05591 will depart from Gorakhpur at 18:00 pm on 8 December 2025 and reach Anand Vihar Terminus at 07:30 am the next day. This train will stop at Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Burhwal, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad and Ghaziabad. In return, train number 05592 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminus at 10:00 am on 08 and 09 December and will reach Gorakhpur at 23:45 pm. 22 coaches including AC and non-AC coaches have been installed in this train. Both these special trains will provide safe and comfortable travel to the passengers during the festive season and will reduce the problem of waiting tickets to a great extent. According to Railways, the number of trains can be increased further as per the need. So that passengers do not have to face problems amid Indigo crisis.
