Life Certificate Deadline- Submitting the life certificate is not just a formality but an important process. If a pensioner does not submit the life certificate by 30th November, his pension will be stopped. You can also submit this document online sitting at home.
New Delhi. It is mandatory for people taking pension from the government to submit life certificate every year. The purpose of taking life certificate from pensioners every year is that the pension money reaches only the real beneficiaries and no one is able to take pension fraudulently. This certificate is the most important condition for continuing the pension. The last date for submission of this life certificate is November 30, 2025. That means you have only 4 days left including today to do this important work. If a pensioner does not submit the life certificate by 30th November, his pension will be stopped.
Submission of life certificate is not just a formality but an important process which has been started by the government to maintain transparency. Earlier the life certificate had to be deposited in the bank or post office. This was a very tedious process as there used to be crowd in the bank or post office. People had to wait in line and submit their certificates after a long time. But, now pensioners can submit the certificate from their home through Jeevan Pramaan portal or Jeevan Pramaan app.
How to submit life certificate?
Pensioners can submit the certificate offline by visiting the nearest bank branch, post office or common service center. Those who want to adopt the digital process can download the Jeevan Pramaan app and submit the certificate sitting at home. Pensioners have to provide Pension Payment Order (PPO) number, Aadhaar number, bank account details (where the pension will be deposited) and Aadhaar-linked mobile number while submitting the life certificate.
How to submit life certificate?
- Download and install ‘AadhaarFaceRD’ and ‘Jeevan Pramaan Face App’ from Google Play Store in your mobile phone.
- Keep in mind that your smartphone should have at least 5 MP front camera.
- Take a photo of the pensioner for face scanning through the app.
- Enter your/pensioner’s details.
- Scan the photo and submit if the details are correct.
- After submission, a message (SMS) will come on your registered mobile number. In which there will be a link.
- By opening that link you can also download the life certificate.
