Huge Asteroid moving fast towards Earth, NASA alerted, told how big the danger is

Houston. A giant asteroid of 290 feet in space is moving very fast towards the Earth. The American space agency NASA has alerted about this. However, NASA also told that there is no danger to the Earth from this meteorite, because it will pass through it.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) told that this 290 feet large asteroid has been named 2022 YH3. This asteroid is moving towards the Earth at a very fast speed of 58572 kilometers per hour or say 16.26 kilometers per second. However, there is nothing to panic because this YH3 asteroid will pass through a distance of about 72 lakh kilometers from the Earth today i.e. on January 14, 2023.

Apart from asteroid 2022 YH3, NASA’s JPL has reported about another asteroid named 2014 LJ. This asteroid 2014 LJ is 22 feet, ie the size of a bus. This asteroid moving at a speed of 12,528 kilometers per hour will pass through a distance of about 18 lakh 20 thousand kilometers from the Earth.

Asteroids are also sometimes called minor planets. They are the rocky, airless remnants left over from the early formation of our Solar System some 4.6 billion years ago. Some of these are quite large in size (as large as 530 kilometers in diameter) while others are comparatively small (less than 33 feet or 10 meters). According to NASA, information about more than 11 lakh asteroids has been received so far. Due to the gravitational pull of our Earth, some of these asteroids come towards our planet.

Out of these, small sized asteroids get burnt in space due to atmospheric friction, but some of these large sized asteroids reach the surface of the earth. The collision of a huge asteroid in the earth can prove to be extremely dangerous.
