120 Bahadur Ticket Price- Half of the tax charged on cinema tickets belongs to the state government and the other half to the Centre. Now after the Delhi government has made 120 Bahadur tax free, the tax on tickets purchased to watch this film in Delhi will also be halved.
The tax collected on cinema tickets is shared half by the state government and the other half by the Centre. Now after the Delhi government has made 120 Bahadur tax free, the tax on tickets purchased to watch this film in Delhi will also be halved. That means you will have to pay 2.50% GST instead of 5% on tickets costing less than Rs 100 and 9% instead of 18% on tickets costing more than Rs 100.
How much cheaper will 120 Bahadur ticket be in Delhi?
Earlier a ticket of Rs 100 was available for Rs 105 because there was five percent GST on it. Now if 120 Bahadur is tax free, half the tax i.e. 2.5 percent will be charged, so you will have to pay Rs 103 in total, because the Delhi government has waived off its share of tax.
If you have purchased a ticket worth Rs 200, then 18 percent GST is applicable on it, of which 9 percent is shared by the state government and 9 percent by the central government.
According to this, the total price of the ticket becomes Rs 236. Now if the state government declares the film tax free, then its 9 percent tax will be waived off, while the central government’s 9 percent GST will remain applicable. In such a situation, this ticket will cost the customers Rs 218, which means they will save Rs 18. Similarly, earlier the Rs 300 ticket was available for Rs 254, which will now be available for Rs 327.
