Jaipur. In Jaipur’s Fagi town, angry husband brutally murdered his wife by hitting her with a hammer over a minor argument. After the murder, the accused also tried to run away from the spot but the people around caught him after seeing blood marks on his clothes and handed him over to the police. The accused Parshuram Prajapat is working as a compounder in Fagi’s government hospital. The accused is being questioned by the police. Due to this incident on Makar Sankranti, sensation spread in the area.

According to ASP Dinesh Sharma, Parshuram Prajapati and his wife Saroj Devi were preparing to make dal-baati on the roof of the house on the festival of Makar Sakranti. During this, there was an argument between both the husband and wife over some issue. The argument increased so much that there was a fight between the two. During this, Parshuram lost his temper. He hit Saroj Devi’s head with a hammer. Due to this Saroj Devi died on the spot. After the incident, the accused started running by jumping from the roof. Seeing blood on his clothes, people caught him on suspicion and informed the police.

Saroj Devi’s dead body was lying near Jagre
Later, when people went to the terrace and saw, Saroj Devi’s dead body was lying near the jug used to make wicks. Blood was splattered on the ceiling. On information, the police reached the spot and caught the accused Parshuram and took him to the police station. The police took the dead body in possession and kept it in the mortuary and inspected the spot. Presently the police is investigating the matter.

The accused was living in fagi for 8 years
The accused Parshuram is basically a resident of Garjeda village of Tonk district. Parshuram’s in-laws house is in Phagi only. In the last 8 years, he was living with his family in Fagi after buying a house. The accused was working as a Nursing Officer in the Government Hospital located here. Local people told that Parshuram had three children. Two of them are twins. Before the incident, the accused Parshuram took the three children to the nearby Shiva temple and locked them in a room there. After that, he came back home. Due to a quarrel here, Saroj was killed by hitting her with a hammer.

According to the police, Parshuram was married to Saroj in 2008. The dispute started between the two only after the marriage. In the year 2018, Saroj had also filed a case against her husband. But later both had reconciled. Even after this, there used to be frequent quarrels between the two. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the noise of ‘Wo Kata Wo Mara’ was echoing in the whole town. Like everyone, Saroj Devi was also busy preparing for the festival. He also planted a jaggery to make dal-baati, but little did he know that his blood would spill in the jaggery in which the wicks were being cooked.
