Gurugram Latest News: A 58-year-old businessman who was out on a bicycle in DLF Phase-2 on Wednesday morning died after being hit by a car. After investigation, the police arrested the accused car driver Sahil, who neither had a license nor any documents for the car. The car used in the accident has also been recovered and the car owner has also been arrested.
Gurugram: A 58-year-old businessman who was out for a walk in DLF Phase-2 on Wednesday morning died after being hit by a car. The police have arrested the accused car driver in this sensational hit-and-run case. The accused neither had a driving license nor any document related to the car. The police have sent the accused to jail by adding relevant sections including culpable homicide.
Tragic death of businessman in road accident
On Wednesday morning, a 58-year-old businessman who was out on a bicycle as usual was hit by a speeding car in Gurugram’s DLF Phase-2 area. The collision was so severe that the businessman died on the spot. After the accident, the car driver fled from the spot, but the police arrested the accused with the help of technical investigation and CCTV footage.
The car was being driven without a license
According to the police, the arrested accused Sahil. Age 20 years. Resident village Tatnagar Jharkhand. Present address 22 Foot Road SGM Nagar Faridabad. He was driving the car at the time of the accident, even though he did not have a valid driving license. Investigation also revealed that the car which caused the accident was running without any valid documents. Accused Sahil works as a helper in a night club. During interrogation, he admitted that he was driving the car without a license and lost control at high speed, due to which the accident occurred.
Car owner also arrested
Gagandeep Nagar, owner of the car used in the accident. Age 40 years. Resident Nawada District Faridabad. Has also been arrested by the police. According to the police, even the documents of the vehicle were not present and allowing a vehicle to be driven without documents and without a license is a serious crime. On this basis, action has also been taken against the car owner by adding sections as per rules.
Sections of culpable homicide were added
Police say that driving a vehicle despite the accused not having a license and causing someone’s death is a very serious matter. On this basis, sections of culpable homicide have also been added to the case. The police has also recovered the car used in the incident. The accused Sahil has been arrested and sent to jail after presenting him in the court. Car owner Gagandeep Nagar is also now in police custody.

Anger was seen in the area after this incident. People said that running of vehicles without license and without documents has become common, due to which the number of accidents is increasing. The police have assured that a strict campaign will be conducted in such cases.
