In response, BSF jawans also fired 16 rounds on the smugglers’ car. BSF has arrested two smugglers along with three packets of heroin from the spot.

According to the information, the incident took place at around 5 am on Sunday. The weight of heroin seized from smugglers is said to be 6 kg 250 grams. BSF and local police are engaged in search of two absconding smugglers. Blockade has been done jointly by the police and BSF. At the same time, the vehicle of smugglers has been found in an abandoned condition on the banks of the canal near village 62RB. 1 mobile dongle, smugglers’ clothes and other items have been found in smugglers’ vehicle found in abandoned condition. The two smugglers who managed to escape have not been traced yet.

On the other hand, on January 5, 3 packets of heroin were recovered in unclaimed condition from the farmer’s field in village Lakha Hakam area of ​​Raisinghnagar police station area. There was heroin in them too. Both the cases are being investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
