Bastar News: Due to the apathy of the rural administration of South Bastar, people are now trying to solve the problems themselves. Recently, the villagers of Kauragaon built a Jugaad bridge on the Goyedar drain. Through this route, about thirty panchayats go to their rural district headquarters.
Abujhmad Temporary Bridge: In the areas of Abujhmad adjacent to South Bastar, the villagers are now coming forward openly regarding the non-fulfillment of their demands pending for years. Due to the apathy of the rural administration of Dantewada, they have started solving their own problems.
The villagers of Kauragaon of Geedam block of Dantewada district, fed up with the negligence of the government and administration, have themselves built a temporary bridge of Jugaad on Goyender drain. The villagers are preparing pillars by making a circle of bamboo and filling stones inside it and a temporary bridge of Jugaad has been made by placing an electric pole on top of it.
lack of basic facilities
This shows the failures of the government that today the people of Bastar are struggling for basic facilities. At the same time, recently, the villagers of the border areas of Dantewada and Bijapur districts had donated labor and prepared roads in many villages and bridges on the rivers and streams of many villages. The villager says that the bridge was built so that basic facilities could reach the village during the rainy season. Due to lack of bridge, there is difficulty in transporting patients during rains. Teachers are unable to come. Earlier this area used to be cut off from the district headquarters during rains.
Kauragaon Sarpanch Brijesh Kumar Kadti says that we are constructing the bridge because of our needs. We are constructing this bridge with the help of stone, wood and electric poles. For this, a circle of bamboo has been made for the pillar and stones have been inserted. Brijesh Kadti says that I have been calling and demanding for years, not just now. The sarpanches before me have also been making demands. Where is the paper getting buried, it has not been approved till date. Officials say that it will happen today, it will happen tomorrow, it has been sent ahead. Till today we are still telling lies to people. People from 25 to 30 panchayats travel through this route.
Kalaram Kadti says that during the rains, the district headquarters and the block headquarters are completely cut off, due to which the villagers face a lot of trouble. We also wrote to the Collector and MLA, but nothing has been done till now.
